Japanese Cornelian Dogwood - Cornus officinalis
The Japanese Cornelian Dogwood (Cornus officinalis) is a medium sized flowering tree for landscapes, and gardens. The early frost tolerant flowers are showier than Cornus mas. The bark is also wonderful in winter. This plant has no negatives of note. The native species is most common in production.
