Gray Dogwood - Cornus racemosa

The Gray Dogwood (Cornus racemosa) is a small deciduous tree or large naturalizing shrub for landscapes or natural restorations. This is a bullet proof plant that is full of surprises if you live with it year round...from flower to berry to fall color. The suckering habit can make this species look weedy and the lack of habit definition that other dogwoods have often causes it to be overlooked. The native species is most common in production.
