Arctic Sun™ Flame Twig Dogwood - Cornus sanguinea 'Cato'
The Arctic Sun™ Flame Twig Dogwood (Cornus sanguinea 'Cato') is a medium sized flowering shrub for landscapes, and gardens. This plant has amazing twig color in winter, a reliable foliage and flower in summer, has a much more compact form than the parent species and seems to be less prone to disease. This species is very prone to fungus, and with the new growth coming out reddish it seams like it starts falling off before it ever turns green. This plant is a trademarked culitvated variety of Cornus alba with a patent held by Proven Winners®. Photos of the parent species will aid in identification.
