Red Twig Dogwood - Cornus sericea

The Red Twig Dogwood (Cornus sericea) is a medium sized flowering shrub for landscapes, gardens and naturalizing. This species is planted predominately for the winter interest. This plant is very prone to fungus. It often develops dead wood on the interior, and rearely achieves fall color due to the anthracnose. There are several cultivars of the species in production that are "improved".
