Buttercup Winterhazel - Corylopsis pauciflora

The Buttercup Winterhazel (Corylopsis pauciflora) is a medium sized flowering tree for landscapes, and gardens. This plant has beautiful fragrant flowers in early spring before the leaves emerge. The dwarf form makes it much more usable in the landscape than the Corylopsis speciosa. This plant has no negatives of note. The native species is most common in production.
