Spreading Cotoneaster - Cotoneaster divaricatus

The Spreading Cotoneaster (Cotoneaster divaricatus) is a deciduous upright spreading shrub for gardens and landscapes. This plant is used mainly for its berry interest in fall and winter. It also responds well to pruning and can form a nice hedge. The leaves often do not achieve fall color before they get frozen off. It is also prone to black spot (fungus). The native species is most common in production.
