Autumn Glory Hawthorn - Crataegus 'Autumn Glory'™

The Autumn Glory Hawthorn (Crataegus 'Autumn Glory'™) is a medium sized flowering tree for landscapes and gardens. This plant has a very prolific berry in the fall that is usually eaten by birds in early winter. It is pollution tolerant and good for urban use. The tree is very thorny and prone to fire blight. The flowers are often considered "stinky", and it rarely achieves fall color due to fungus. This plant was cultivated from a naturally occurring variation of Crataegus mexicana found in San Francisco in the 1940's.
