Paul's Scarlet Hawthorn - Crataegus laevigata 'Paul's Scarlet'

The Paul's Scarlet Hawthorn (Crataegus laevigata 'Paul's Scarlet') is a medium sized flowering tree for landscapes, gardens and naturalizing. This variety produces abundant white flowers and red berries. It is resistant to leaf spot, and one of the few varieties I would use as a specimen in a garden. The tree is very thorny and the flowers are often considered "stinky". Leaves rarely achieves fall color before freezing. Cultivated variety of Crataegus laevigata.
