Dotted Hawthorn - Crataegus punctata

The Dotted Hawthorn (Crataegus punctata) is a medium sized flowering tree for landscapes, gardens and naturalizing. This variety has a very showy flower and wide spreading habit. This is probably the thorniest, and most disease prone selection of Hawthorn. I wouldn't be surprised if it smells the worst too. The native species is most common in production.
