Japanese Cedar - Cryptomeria japonica

The Japanese Cedar (Cryptomeria japonica) is a large evergreen tree for landscapes and gardens. It is also used for lumber in the native habitat. This is a hardy, easy to grow evergreen with a fairly narrow habit. It can develop a brown cast during winter in cooler climates. There are more cultivars of this species in production.
