Arizona Cypress - Cupressus arizonica

The Arizona Cypress (Cupressus arizonica) is a large pyramidal evergreen native to the desert Southwest of the United States. This is one of the bluest conifers with scaled needles, shaggy bark, and is generally soft to the touch. It can have a bit of a wild shape, but that adds to the appeal. This plant has become invasive in Puerto Rico and could be in other tropical regions beyond the native range. This is a native species with cultivated varieties in production.
