Golden Pillar Monterey Cypress - Cupressus macrocarpa 'Golden Pillar'
The Golden Pillar Monterey Cypress (Cupressus macrocarpa 'Golden Pillar') is a columnar evergreen good for windy coastal locations and containers. The nice golden foliage against reddish bark is very attractive. This plant is susceptible to a canker if not grown in coastal winds. The salt seems to deter it. This is a cultivated variety of Cupressus macrocarpa.
