The William Buchanan Irish Heath (Daboecia X scotica 'William Buchanan') is a small broadleaf evergreen flowering shrub for landscapes and gardens. This plant is very similar to the more common Erica and Heather but is distinguished by the lighter spikes of nodding flowers. Irish Heaths are less cold hardy than the more common varieties. This cultivar is a hybrid of Daboecia azorica and Daboecia cantabrica.
