The Cycad (Dioon edule) is a medium sized broadleaf evergreen shrub or small tree for landscapes or gardens. This plant is most often found in the shrub form but can develop a small trunk. Most notable is the large cone that forms in the center of the leaves. This plant is considered endangered and often protected in the native range. The native species is most common in production.
