Sandpaper Tree - Ehretia anacua

The Sandpaper Tree (Ehretia anacua) is a large flowering tree for landscapes, gardens, and naturalizing. This is one of the larger flowering trees for warmer climates. The flowers are prolific through summer and the berries hold and ripen to a bright orange in spring. The plant is named for the rough texture of the leaves. The native species is most common in production.
