Russian Olive - Elaeagnus angustifolia

The Russian Olive (Elaeagnus angustifolia) is a flowering tree for gardens and landscapes that has naturalized in many areas of the United States. The plant has nice blue gray foliage year round, and thorns that provide cover for wildlife habitat. This is an extremely invasive species and should not be planted in most states. The native species is most common in production.
