Brittlebush - Encelia farinosa

The Brittlebush (Encelia farinosa) is a drought deciduous shrub for landscapes and gardens in warmer climates. The gray foliage and yellow flowers make a great addition to summer gardens. It loses its leaf in the dry summers but often adds interest to winter gardens as well. This is not listed as invasive (yet), but is starting to show up in other parts of the country so plant with care or in the native range. The native species is most common in production.
