Swamp Mallee - Eucalyptus spathulata

The Swamp Mallee (Eucalyptus spathulata) is a broadleaf evergreen tree for landscapes and gardens. The bark is more refines on this Eucalyptus. It keeps a smooth solid brownish red color and sheds the entire trunk in one layer come spring. The shedding of branches and leaves can get messy on older trees. This plant can also get invasive in the wild. The native species is most common in production.
