Compact Burning Bush - Euonymus alatus 'Compactus'

The Compact Burning Bush (Euonymus alatus 'Compactus') is a deciduous shrub used in gardens, landscapes, and commercial plantings. The vivid red fall color is unmistakable, and the layered branching makes the plant respond well to shearing for hedges. This is an extremely invasive species when planted near woodland and natural areas, particularly in zones 6 and up. Mites often cause the leaves drop before fall color is reached. This is a cultivated of Euonymous alatus.
