The Tricolor Beech (Fagus sylvatica 'Tricolor') is a medium sized deciduous tree ideal for landscapes and gardens. This plant is coveted for the graceful branching and tricolored leaves with green centers, white borders, and pink edges. The leaves almost always scorch in hot late afternoon sun. It does best with sun until about 2:00 PM. This is a cultivated variety of Fagus sylvatica. Photos from the parent species may aid in identification.
