Border Forsythia - Forsythia X intermedia
The Border Forsythia (Forsythia X intermedia) is a large deciduous flowering shrub for landscapes, gardens and borders. This plant is extremely hardy, fast growing and one of the first shrubs to bloom in the spring. This plant does not like to be sheared. HAND PRUNE ONLY! The species can be invasive in warmer climates and wetlands. There are several cultivars of this species in production. Many have escaped into nature and are mistaken as natives.
