Show Off™ Forsythia - Forsythia X intermedia 'Mindor'
The Show Off™ Forsythia (Forsythia X intermedia 'Mindor') is a large deciduous flowering shrub for landscapes, gardens and borders. This variety grows slightly smaller than the species. The main benefit is that it blooms on old wood, not just last years growth. This means you can prune whenever you want without losing flwoers. It also has a reddish twig that brings out the flower even more. Pruning may not effect the flower, but it can effect the shape. It still looks best unpruned. This species can also be invasive in warmer climates and wetlands. This plant is a trademarked culitvated variety of Forsythia x intermedia with a patent held by Proven Winners®.
