Dwarf Fothergilla - Fothergilla gardenii

The Dwarf Fothergilla (Fothergilla gardenii) is a small to medium sized deciduous shrub for landscapes, gardens and naturalizing that is native to the Southeastern United States. The species has a nice fragrant flower that attracts humming birds and butterflies. It also has and attractive bark on older specimens. This plant has no negatives of note. There are more cultivars of this species in production.
