Flowering Ash - Fraxinus ornus

The Flowering Ash (Fraxinus ornus) is a deciduous shade or flowering tree for landscapes and gardens. The large phlumish white flowers make this stand out from other ashes. It is often mistaken for Chinese Chestnut, but doesn't have the odor. Most varieties of Ash are being attacked by a borer throughout the Ohio River valley and it is moving westward. The native species is most common in production.
