Silkyleaf Woadwaxen, Silkyleaf Broom - Genista pilosa

The Silkyleaf Woadwaxen, Silkyleaf Broom (Genista pilosa) is a small broadleaf evergreen shrub for landscapes and gardens. This plant is most impressive when in bloom and very tolerant of sun a drought. It also has a fuzzier and more silver leaf than those native to the United States. The habit can look a little spindly in winter for a manicured garden and looks best naturalized. There are a more cultivars of this species in production.
