Chinese Honeylocust - Gleditsia macracantha
The Chinese Honeylocust (Gleditsia macracantha) is a medium sized deciduous tree for landscapes and gardens. This plant is fast growing with small leaves that make very little mess. The plant is extremely thorny and not enjoyable to handle. While the native species is most common in production, it is most used for parentage in hybridizing smaller Locusts.
