Thornless Honeylocust - Gleditsia triacanthos var. inermis

The Thornless Honeylocust (Gleditsia triacanthos var. inermis) is a medium sized deciduous tree for landscapes and gardens. With small green leaves and thornless branches, this locust makes a great tree for shade in the lawn or on a street. This is one of the few shade trees you can grow grass under when full grown. This plant has no negatives of note. This is a cultivated variety of the native Honeylocust.
