Chilean Wine Palm - Jubaea chilensis

The Chilean Wine Palm (Jubaea chilensis) is a large Palm tree for landscapes, gardens, and street trees. This is a large upright palm, sometimes found as a juvenile shrub, but more often towering above everything else. The leaves on this plant are spiny, and the dead ones can hang on making the plant look junky if they are out of reach and not trimmed. The native species is most common in production.
