Little Walnut - Juglans microcarpa

The Little Walnut (Juglans microcarpa) is a medium sized shade and nut producing tree for landscapes, gardens and naturalizing. This is a native variety to the Lower Midwest and Southwest that handles the arid climate better than other Walnuts. This species has a smaller nut but it still very edible. The native species is most common in production.
