Canary Island Juniper - Juniperus cedrus

The Canary Island Juniper (Juniperus cedrus) is a large spreading coniferous evergreen for landscapes with lots of space. This plant is ideal for open sprawling warmer climate landscapes. It has majestic branching with pendulous needles and a windswept appearance. The branches are prone to storm damage in high winds. While the native species is most common in production, the species is endangered in the native habitat.
