Shore Juniper - Juniperus conferta

The Shore Juniper (Juniperus conferta) is a ground covering coniferous evergreen for landscapes and gardens. This variety has a ground covering habit that is not quite flat so it does a better job keeping out the weeds than some varieties. This plant prefers hand pruning of individual runners to shearing. There are several cultivars of this species in production, the native strain is rarely sold.
