The Bar Harbour Juniper (Juniperus horizontalis 'Bar Harbour') is a creeping coniferous evergreen for use as a groundcover and naturalizing in native regions. This variety is very hardy and drought tolerant and is consistently more blue than the parent species. The branches are also slightly upward arching giving it a not so flat appearance. This plant does not like frequent water. There are several cultivars in production and the native strain is rarely sold.
