Golden Raintree - Koelreuteria paniculata

The Golden Raintree (Koelreuteria paniculata) is a medium sized flowering tree for landscapes and gardens. This plant has spiky yellow flowers all summer long and is tolerant of heat and drought making this an urban favorite. This species has become an invasive species and naturalized in AL, DE, FL, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, MO, NC, NY, OH, PA, TN, TX, UT, VA, and WV. There are more cultivars of this species in production.
