Goldenchain Tree - Laburnum X watereri

The Goldenchain Tree (Laburnum X watereri) is a medium sized flowering tree for landscapes and gardens. This plant is noted for having long pendulous flowers in early summer and a residual seed that eventually turns brown. The seeds can be messy once they ripen, but are attractive until then. This is a cultivated variety of Laburnum. There are several hybrids of this plant in production.
