Fauri Crape Myrtle - Lagerstroemia fauriei

The Fauri Crape Myrtle (Lagerstroemia fauriei) is a small flowering tree for landscapes and gardens. This species is often planted for the persistent summer flowers and exfoliating bark in winter. The plant has become an invasive species and naturalized in AL, AR, FL, GA, IN, KY, LA, MD, MS, NC, SC, TN, TX, and VA. This is the hardiest of Crepe Myrtles and is used predominately for hybridizing with others.
