Dahurian Larch - Larix gmelinii

The Dahurian Larch (Larix gmelinii) is a medium sized pyramidal deciduous conifer for landscapes and gardens. This variety is much broader and more majestic than most. It also allows enough filtered and winter light to support turf beneath it. People usually think the tree is dying in the fall because it defoliates. This species is often used in hybridizing with other varieties.
