The Eastern Larch (Larix laricina) is a pyramidal deciduous conifer native to Northern marshlands and wet forest edges. This is a great naturalizer for adding the coniferous look to wildflower meadows and perennial gardens without eventually shading everything out. People usually think the tree is dying in the fall because it defoliates. The native species is most common in production.
