Sweetbells Leucothoe - Leucothoe racemosa

The Sweetbells Leucothoe (Leucothoe racemosa) is a small spreading broadleaf evergreen for landscapes gardens and naturalizing that is native to the South Atlantic Coast. Glossy green leaves, a Lily of the Valley type flower, and a naturalizing habit make these favorites for naturalizing and shady gardens. This plant often develops root rot in pots at the nursery before they are sold. Expect to lose some. There are more cultivars of this species in production.
