The Silver Star Japanese Privet (Ligustrum japonicum 'Silver Star') is a medium sized flowering shrub for landscapes and gardens. This variety has fragrant white flowers, glossy green and white leaves, responds well to pruning and is a favorite for hedges. The species has escaped into nature and become invasive in AL, FL, GA, LA, MD, MS, NC, SC, TN, TX and VA. This is a cultivated variety of Ligustrum japonicum.
