Golden Privet - Ligustrum ovalifolium 'Aureum'

The Golden Privet (Ligustrum ovalifolium 'Aureum') is a large variegated broadleaf evergreen shrub for landscapes and gardens. This species has fragrant white flowers, glossy green and yellow leaves, responds well to pruning and is a favorite for hedges. The species has escaped into nature and become invasive in AL, CA, CT, DC, DE, FL, KY, MA, MD, MI, MO, NC, NJ, OH, PA, TX and VA. There are more cultivars of this species in production.
