Formosan Sweetgum - Liquidambar formosana
The Formosan Sweetgum (Liquidambar formosana) is a medium sized shade tree for landscapes, gardens, and street trees. Nice horizontal branching on a trunk with a clear leader makes this tree ideal for limbing up in urban conditions. It is drought and pollution tolerant as well. The seed pods are extremely messy when they drop. The native species is most common in production.
