Chinese Fringe-flower - Loropetalum chinense
The Chinese Fringe-flower (Loropetalum chinense) is an evergreen or deciduous flowering shrub for landscapes and gardens. This species is sought for the flower, but it also has a mounding draping habit that is easily controlled with selective hand pruning. Shearing can destroy this plant's habit. It can also defoliate during winter in zones 6 and 7. There are more cultivars of this species in production.
