The Lily Magnolia (Magnolia liliiflora) is a deciduous flowering tree for landscapes and gardens. This variety has a broader form with low lateral branches and no leader. Unpruned it will look like a large shrub with branches touching the ground. The lower branches will require developmental pruning to establish a tree form. This species is extinct in the native habitat and survives only in cultivation. There are several varieties of this species in production.
