Bigleaf Magnolia - Magnolia macrophylla

The Bigleaf Magnolia (Magnolia macrophylla) is a deciduous flowering tree for landscapes, gardens, and naturalizing. This Magnolia has a very spindly habit, minimal branching, and gigantic leaves. It can be tucked into small spaces to add a big tropical feel. This species is hard to transplant. Only buy container grown specimens. The native species is most common in production.
