Umbrella Magnolia - Magnolia tripetala

The Umbrella Magnolia (Magnolia tripetala) is a deciduous flowering tree for landscapes, gardens, and naturalizing. This species is very similar to Magnolia macrophylla, but more tolerant of higher elevations and with a more substantial branching habit. This plant is very hard to transplant. Only buy container grown specimens. The native species is most common in production.
