Creeping Mahonia - Mahonia repens

The Creeping Mahonia (Mahonia repens) is a small shrub or ground covering broadleaf evergreen for landscapes, gardens, and naturalizing. This is a really clean, hardy and durable groundcover. I grew up with this plant and loved hiding my brothers toys in it - for good. This plant is extremely prickly and miserable to prune or touch. It prefers a coniferous canopy, and so will you. You DO NOT want to clean leaves out of this. The native species is most common in production.
