Carmine Crabapple - Malus X atrosanguinea

The Carmine Crabapple (Malus X atrosanguinea) is a deciduous flowering tree for landscapes and gardens. Crabapples are one of the most prolific bloomers in spring with big puffy tufts of blossoms, and a fruit that is desirable for jams. Crabapples are prone to fungus especially in the presence of Cedars, and the fruit can be messy when dropping. This is a cultivated hybrid of Malus.
