Chinaberry, Texas Umbrella Tree - Melia azedarach 'Umbraculiformis'

The Chinaberry, Texas Umbrella Tree (Melia azedarach 'Umbraculiformis') is a broadleaf evergreen tree for warm climate landscapes and gardens. A large spreading tree ideal for shade with fragrant flowers in spring and berries in late summer and fall. The plant is drought decidious in dry winters, but can hold the leaf in zones 10 and 11. This plant is a naturally occurring cultivated variety of Melia azedarach. There are more cultivars of the species in produciton.
