White Mulberry - Morus alba

The White Mulberry (Morus alba) is a medium sized fruit bearing shade tree native to most of the United States. The berry is actually very tasty, even though messy, and used for jellies, wine and eating. Often overlooked is the very impressive branching habit of the male trees. The fruit can be messy and stain where it falls. There are more cultivars of this species in production.
