The Japanese Bayberry (Myrica rubra) is a broadleaf evergreen tree for landscapes and gardens. This species responds very well to pruning and can be shaped and contained in residential and commercial spaces. This plant will defoliate in cooler climates and has become invasive in parts of Georgia. The native species is most common in production.
